Great Tree Canopy Comeback
This past weekend, we partnered with Friends of the Parks of Allen County and Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation for the 2025 Great Tree Canopy Comeback. Over 60 volunteers came out to plant 50 trees at Bob Arnold Northside Park. The Tree Canopy Growth Fund also provided 40 native trees to volunteers to plant on their own property. Thanks to the volunteers and various partners who helped coordinate this event!

Oak Borough Planting Project
Several months back, the residents of the Oak Borough neighborhood decided they wanted to plant more trees in the community green spaces around their clubhouse and ponds. They connected with the Tree Canopy Growth Fund and through that collaborative partnership, nearly 50 native trees were planted by neighborhood volunteers in community green spaces and private yards. At the May tree planting event, we were able to demonstrate the best way to plant a tree and the neighborhood
