Oak Borough Planting Project

Several months back, the residents of the Oak Borough neighborhood decided they wanted to plant more trees in the community green spaces around their clubhouse and ponds. They connected with the Tree Canopy Growth Fund and through that collaborative partnership, nearly 50 native trees were planted by neighborhood volunteers in community green spaces and private yards. At the May tree planting event, we were able to demonstrate the best way to plant a tree and the neighborhood used it as a way to bring people together to support the neighborhood.
