FWCS and Rotary
Several months back, our friends at the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne reached out with an idea to use available funds to plant trees on school campuses around the community. We looped in key stakeholders at Fort Wayne Community Schools then spent time collaborating to identify planting locations that could benefit students throughout the city. Great Tree Canopy Comeback
This past weekend, we partnered with Friends of the Parks of Allen County and Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation for the 2025 Great Tree Canopy Comeback. Over 60 volunteers came out to plant 50 trees at Bob Arnold Northside Park. The Tree Canopy Growth Fund also provided 40 native trees to volunteers to plant on their own property. Thanks to the volunteers and various partners who helped coordinate this event!

Oak Borough Planting Project
Several months back, the residents of the Oak Borough neighborhood decided they wanted to plant more trees in the community green spaces around their clubhouse and ponds. They connected with the Tree Canopy Growth Fund and through that collaborative partnership, nearly 50 native trees were planted by neighborhood volunteers in community green spaces and private yards.
