Magnolia Montessori School on Fort Wayne's northwest side is now home to 20 new native trees. A key part of their educational philosophy includes getting students outside in nature as much as possible and they had a desire to plant more trees on their school grounds.
The Tree Canopy Growth Fund assisted school leadership with identifying species and planting locations. We delivered 20 trees in November to be planted by students and their families as part of a parent engagement event.
We love working with educators and appreciate our new friends at Magnolia Montessori for helping us grow the tree canopy in our community and for inspiring young people to care about nature.
